February is National Children's Dental Health month! This week, we focused on what we can do to take care of our teeth and promote good oral hygiene. We learned about the parts of our teeth, what to expect at the dentist, about different dental tools, and about good brushing habits. Here are some picture highlights from dental health week:
Painting sparkly, white teeth with toothbrushes!
Playing the counting game Race to Lose a Tooth!
Sorting foods that are good and bad for our teeth!
We read about healthy habits in oral and overall health. We practiced recognizing the sight words "I" and "can" and using picture clues to help us read.
We played a number recognition game called Roll a Cavity!
We soaked an egg in water, milk, and soda. We learned that it was much harder to brush and clean the egg in the soda than the other two eggs!
