Important Dates/Reminders:
Memorial Day: WECC will be closed this coming Monday, May 31st in observance of Memorial Day.
Field Day: Weather permitting, we will have a field day on Tuesday, June 1st! If the weather is warm enough, we will also have some water activities. Please send your child to school dressed in a swimsuit/shirt or a swimsuit under play clothes and waterproof shoes. Our preschoolers should ready to spend most of the preschool day outside. Also, please apply sunscreen before coming to school and bring a labeled water bottle and beach towel. Right now the forecast looks a little chilly in the morning, but it should be a nice day to be outside!
Last Day of School: The last day of school for both T/Th 3's and PM 5's will be Thursday, June 3rd.
Summer Send-Off: We invite you to join us for a Summer Send-off Party for our preschool students on Thursday, June 3 from 10:45-11:15 for AM students and 2:30-3:00 for PM students. The send-off will include preschool students singing songs, led by our music teacher, Ms. Janet, and time to mingle with classmates and their families. Light refreshments will be provided, and the event will be held outdoors (weather permitting).
T/Th 3's Class:
This week, we engaged in lots of summer fun! We identified and explored summer objects, learned about summer safety, and discussed things people like to do in summer. We also talked about the fun summer treats people like to eat! We had lots of fun working in our classroom ice cream shop and made some fun summer treat crafts! We also practiced cutting and sharing with a fun ice cream toss game. Here are some picture highlights from our week in 3's:
PM 5's Class:
This week, we had a great week talking about summer fun! We learned about summer, the weather in summer, and fun things to do in the summertime. We also learned about opposites and identified many pairs of opposites! We enjoyed lots of time playing outside in the beautiful weather and "working" in our classroom ice cream shop! We also learned about different holidays in the summer, summer safety, and the -op word family. Here are some picture highlights from our week in 5's:
