Memorial Day: WECC will be closed Monday, May 31st in observance of Memorial Day.

Field Day: Weather permitting, we will have a field day on Tuesday, June 1st! If the weather is warm enough, we will also have some water activities. Please come to school ready to spend most of the preschool day outside. Also, please apply sunscreen before coming to school. More details to follow!

Last Day of School: The last day of school for both T/Th 3's and PM 5's will be Thursday, June 3rd.

Summer Send-Off: We invite you to join us for a Summer Send-off Party for our preschool students on Thursday, June 3 from 10:45-11:15 for AM students and 2:30-3:00 for PM students. The send-off will include preschool students singing songs, led by our music teacher, Ms. Janet, and time to mingle with classmates and their families. Light refreshments will be provided, and the event will be held outdoors (weather permitting).

T/Th 3's Class:

This week, we had the best time camping in our classroom! We learned about different gear that people take camping and planned what we would bring on a camping trip! We also learned how to be safe while camping, solved forest animal riddles, and discussed things people like to do while camping. During center time, we painted patterns with marshmallows, put together a campsite, camped in our classroom in a tent, built S'more Man, practiced cutting by giving our grass "haircuts," and made a father's day surprise! We enjoyed lots of outside time with the beautiful weather and finished off the week by going on a bear hunt! PM 5's Class:

This week, we had so much fun camping in our classroom! We discussed our own camping experiences, learned about the gear campers need, and explored different places people can go camping. We discussed camping safety, particularly the importance of being safe around a campfire. We also learned about the -ot word family and practiced reading and writing -ot and camping words! During center time, we created a campsite scene, went on a camping word hunt around the classroom, painted campfires, experimented with building tents, completed our butterfly journals, and made a special Father's Day surprise! On Thursday, all our butterflies had finally emerged from their chrysalides and were ready to be released - many even landed on us! We also got to try a tasting camping treat, s'mores, during snack! Next week, we will begin our summer theme and learn about the -op word family! Here are some picture highlights from our week in 5's:

Have a great weekend!
