3/4 Classroom Update

This week, we learned all about the letter C and revisited learning about colors. We learned about all the colors in the rainbow, the order of colors and how they blend together. After learning about rainbows, we finger painted our own rainbows with the colors in the correct rainbow order. We also read a wonderful story about Elmer the Elephant, who doesn't like looking different from the rest of the elephants. In the story, he realizes that his colorful skin is what makes him special and he learns to celebrate it. We painted our own special patchwork Elmer elephants to celebrate being different. Be on the lookout for rainbows and Elmer elephants in the hallway next week! Below are the books that we read this week:

Next week, we will be learning about the letter O and ocean life. Preschoolers will sort ocean vs. land animals, identify beginning sounds of ocean animals, play with water animals in the water table, make ocean animals out of playdough, create an octopus for their alphabet books and marble paint a seahorse.

Conference Form/Spring Conferences Reminder: This week, there is a pre-conference form in your child's folder. Please fill it out and return it at your earliest convenience before your scheduled conference date. Spring Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday, March 15th and and Tuesday, March 22nd.
