3/23 Classroom Update

This week, we had so much fun learning about our community and different types of communities. We located our community on a map and identified our favorite places within our community. We learned about the three different types of communities (rural, suburban, and urban/city) and the different types of places found in communities. As a class, we worked together to build our own community with each student adding their own unique place or home to the community. We also learned about needs (things we need to survive) and wants (things that make life easier), and are working on differentiating between the two! Next week, we will continue our discussion of communities by learning about community helpers and jobs people do!
