10/12 Classroom Update

This week, we learned all about pumpkins! We learned about the parts of a pumpkin and the life cycle of a pumpkin. We also carved a pumpkin, played with the pumpkin pulp, and turned our pumpkin into a volcano! Here are some pictures from our fun and learning with pumpkins this week:

We played "Mr. Pumpkin Head" with pumpkins from our field trip to Schwallier's!

We painted pumpkins!

We made an eagle for our letter books!

We used pumpkin pie playdough to make pumpkins on a vine!

We had to practice making a certain number of pumpkins depending on the number on our playdough mat!

We practiced writing the letter E and the number 2 this week!

During free choice, we had the option to play with pumpkin pulp and seeds!

We matched lowercase and uppercase letters using pumpkin seeds!

We played Race to Fill the Pumpkin - a fun counting game!

Playing Race to Fill the Pumpkin helps with one-to-one correspondence while counting!
