4/15 Classroom Update

I hope that you all had a wonderful Spring Break! I enjoyed hearing about all the fun things our preschoolers did over break from sledding in snowy Michigan to seeing dolphins in Florida!

This week, we learned about the letter A and reviewed the whole alphabet. We painted alligators for our letter books, went on letter hunts in the classroom, practiced cutting straight and curvy lines, built our names at the block station, played a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom balancing game, went on letter hunts in sensory bins, and wrote the room by finding the alphabet cards.

Here are some of the great stories we read this week:

Next week, we will be learning about the letter I and will be focusing on the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We will be working on retelling the story and sequencing story events in order. We will also be learning about insects and the life cycle of a butterfly.

Dairy Discovery Field Trip: We will be taking a field trip to Swisslane Farms on Tuesday, May 10. Be on the lookout for a permission slip/driver volunteer forms in your child's folder next week!

Enjoy the beautiful weather and have a wonderful weekend!
