4/29 Classroom Update!

It's hard to believe we're already entering our last full month of school! Check out our May/June Calendars below to see our upcoming themes and important dates.

This week, we learned about the letter T and about plants. We planted sunflowers, examined different types of seeds, played in our new classroom garden, created seed art, learned about the life cycle of a plant and are currently conducting an experiment with bean seeds to see what they need to grow (soil, water, and sun). We also discussed what makes something living vs. non-living. Living things need water, food, air, and they grow. Here are some of the books we read this week:

Next week, we will be learning about the letter J and will be getting ready for our Mother's Day/Cinco de Mayo Celebration. We have been working very hard on our Spanish songs with Ms. Tiffany all year long, and we cannot wait to show you what we have learned!

Mother's Day/Cinco de Mayo Celebration: Please join us on Wednesday, May 4 at 10:00 (AM class) and 2:00 (PM class) for our special Mother's Day/Cinco de Mayo performance in the Woodcliff Board Room. Following the performance, we invite our families to come back to the classroom for a Mother's Day celebration!

Dairy Discovery Field Trip: Permission slips and money for our Dairy Discovery Field Trip are due Friday, May 6th. The cost of the field trip is $5 per child and $5 per adult attending. Please make checks payable to WECC.

End of the Year Preschool Family Gathering: Please join us for the last 45 minutes of class on Thursday, June 9th (PM Class) or Friday, June 10th (AM Class) to reminisce, share summer plans, and say goodbye to friends. We will be providing drinks and snacks. All you need to bring is a picnic blanket and a smile!

Have a great weekend!
