3/22 Classroom Update

This week, we learned about what communities are, different types of communities, and places within a community. We shared some of our favorite places within our own community (Jersey Junction was a favorite among many!) and learned about some of the services we have within our community. We also learned about the difference between needs and wants, and practiced sorting and naming them. A new craft is now on display in the hallway where we named some of the things we need versus want! Here are some pictures from the week:

We each made our own unique buildings to put together to make a community!

We put out fires and kept our classroom community safe in our new fire station dramatic play center!

We painted the letter U with water and raindrops and added umbrellas for our letter books.

We played with construction trucks in the sand table!

We enjoyed relatively warmer temperatures and sunshine outside!

We learned about the differences between needs and wants!
